Now you want to blend the gifs so they seamlessly work together. Make sure all or the first frame is selected so it moves uniformly throughout the length of the gif. To move the gif around the canvas select the group with all the frames in it (your frames for each individual gif should be grouped to make it less chaotic) and use the move tool. Now you should have something that looks like this, multiple gifs in a canvas. Select the bubble that says “Paste over selection” Select all frames again and then choose “paste frames” right below the copy option. Click “select all frames” and then click the box again to select “copy frames”. Next go to the other gif(s) you are using, and on the right hand side of the frames window (which if you lose it, can be found by clicking window –> timeline) and clicking the square button with a little down facing arrow. You can always make it smaller or bigger later on. Just take one of your gifs and change the canvas size, by going to Image –> Canvas size, or pressing Alt + Control + C.Īnd change the canvas to whatever size suits your needs. (You can still shorten the gifs later.) Both of mine are at 45 right now just so I can make sure I have enough to work with later.Īfter that you want to prep your canvas to the size you want your one large gif to eventually be. You want to make sure whatever gifs you are combiningg, whether it be two or three or sixty, make sure they are all the same number of frames. This is the one I learned from, and it’s great! I’m not covering how to make a basic gif in this tutorial – there are plenty out there for that already. Sorry!!įirst you want to grab your frames and import them in to photoshop. This tutorial is using Photoshop CS6 – I’m sure it will work for most older versions, but I do not know how to translate it to other programs. This was requested by an anon a while ago and I’m sorry it took so long! Basic overlaying/combining gif tutorial under the cut!
